The Neurocenter Bern at the Inselspital (Bern University Hospital) has the largest stroke center in Switzer-land and is one of the pioneer centers in the management of acute neurological patients with a particular effort in the field of stroke. The Inselspital currently manages approximately 2'000 stroke patients; approximately 340 of these undergo endovascular treatment, and over 5'000 patients with acute neurological problems per year.

The responsibilities

The research physician is expected to competently strengthen the research in the field of neurovascular diseases and stroke treatment. The candidate works across several clinics, cooperates with both clinical and basic researchers and contributes to the development of the neuroclinical study center (NCTU).

Your profile

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with a strong academic interest, who is highly motivated to contribute to the further development of the stroke center Bern. A clinical background in diagnostic and/or interventionell neuroradiology is preferred. Based on the skills and experience a combination with a clinical position and a further clinical and academic career is possible. Knowledge of German language is and French language is desired. Salary is according to Swiss standards.

The package

You are working in the dedicated research team and environment of the Neurocenter of the University Hospital. Introduction to the methods, scientific guidance as well as access to the infrastructure are part of the research fellowship.
