We are looking for a highly motivated postdoc in lipid metabolism and lipidomics/metabolomics to join our team at the institute of Clinical Chemistry. The project aims at understanding lipid metabolism in metabolic disorders. The team will investigate alterations in lipid metabolism and associated molecular mechanisms during disease progression in pre-clinical models and clinical studies. The team uses both computational and experimental models.
The successful candidate will have a PhD/MD or equivalent in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, lipid biology or related fields with a strong background in mass spectrometry. Proficiency in mass spectrometry (both high- and low-resolution mass spec) is essential. Good knowledge of physiology and metabolism is required. The successful candidate must exhibit excellent communication skills in English, an ability to handle complex projects and a potential for excellence in research productivity through publications.
We offer a stimulating and multidisciplinary research environment and our group works closely with Hepatology and Endocrinology clinics. The institute offers expertise in laboratory medicine, epidemiology, immunology and metabolism with the state-of-the-art platforms for biobanking, genomics, pharmacogenomics, cytomics and metabolomics.
